This American rock band from New York, NY emerged from relative obscurity in 2009 with the release of their excellent indie-pop self titled debut. This EP is a sort of companion piece to that album, featuring four tracks that could have easily fit into the LP. "Higher Than The Stars", "103", "Falling Over", and "Twins" continue in the shoegazing, twee pop style of the LP with great results. They have managed to pick up exactly where My Bloody Valentine left off, and that is welcome news to these ears.
This is music for a beautiful starry night, driving through the city while hitting every green light imaginable, sunroof down, with the stars above. You will feel higher than the stars while listening to this beautiful EP, I can't wait to see what they have in store for their follow up LP.
